Let's talk about the future

Expert discussion about the climate and energy strategy of the EU and Austria

The next few years are crucial for the solution of the climate crisis. Austria must submit a suitable national energy and climate plan by the end of the year. The new EU Commission President Ursula van der Leyen is already calling for a "Green New Deal" and strives to ensure that Europe finally achieves a leadership role concerning technology in terms of renewable energies and climate protection. This includes a discussion on the already outdated objectives of the Union by 2030. By 2050, Europe and most countries worldwide should be CO2 neutral. Austria too will not only have to submit a plan by 2030 but also by 2050. What can Austria do? What do these announcements mean for Europe? What benefits does a global energy and climate change bring? These and more answers are provided by experts and are available for discussion on Thursday, 28th of November 2019. Register and visit the event supported by “Erneuerbare Energien Österreich (EEÖ) and the Renewables Nertworking Platform.
