For the first time in history people gathered for a unique movement in the name of climate protection on April 22, 1970. Today, April 22nd 2020, marks 50 years of Earth Day! This year, due to Covid19-precautions, this global awareness-raising project is fully digitized. Over the 24 hours of Earth Day, Earth Day Network  floods the digital landscape with global conversations, calls to action, performances, video teach-ins and more.

The main driving topic of this year’s talks and events is Climate Action. With the ongoing Covid19-crisis, the mostly involuntary actions taken and their positive short-term effects by drastic reduction in emissions already are measurable around the world. But will this lead to a lasting re-thinking and pro-active lifestyle change of the world’s population?

By all means, the time is right to take steps towards a more energy-benign future!
