High visit and high interest in postgraduate Master Program "Renewable Energy in Middle- and Eastern Europe"

Mrs. Margit Fischer, wife of federal president Heinz Fischer, and the wife of Iraqi president, Hero Talabani, visited on Monday, 14th November 2005, the Energiepark Bruck/Leitha. The Energiepark and Continuing Education Center of Vienna University of Technology are co-partners regarding the postgraduate Master Program "Renewable Energy in Middle- and Central Europe". Mrs. Fischer and Mrs. Talabani inspected the wind-power-plant in Bruck/Leitha and showed brisk interest in this brand new
Master Program, which deals with renewable energy among other kinds of energy. The participants of this program will immerse their knowledge in wind energy utilisation at the example of Bruck/Leitha´s wind-power-plant.

Mrs. Talabani spoke about big problems in supplying some areas in Iraq with electricity and the possibility of using wind power because of the windiness of areas there.

Both ladies and their accompanists were impressed of information and technology in the field of renewable energy.
