Due to the current situation in Europe (Covid 19) we had to cancel the Country Module and Alumni Field Trip to Berlin & North-eastern Germany in April 2020.The next Country Module will take place in April 2021.

Within the scope of tailor-made country modules the students of the MSc Program Renewable Energy Systems gain in-depth knowledge on energy markets in selected European countries. Country specific input will include a market overview, legal issues, and promotion schemes. Considering the valuable contributions by our external partners we hope to broaden the focus of our program and to offer our students additional networking opportunities in countries where they may engage in future renewable energy projects.

The program of this year’s Country Module has been developed in corporation with WindNODE, a Berlin-based project that brings together 70 partners to work on the development of sustainable and transferable model solutions for the energy transition.

    With the ZUKUNFTSRAUMENERGIE Siemens AG wants to create a place of encounter and information in the context of the energy transition, discuss questions and present innovative solutions.

  • ENERTRAG: Wind park and hybrid power plant
    ENERTRAG has been producing green hydrogen from wind power in the hybrid power plant by means of electrolysis since 2011.  The green hydrogen which is produced completely without CO2 emissions, is used today already under the brand name ENERTRAG Windgas to supply fuel cells in emergency power supply units.

  • Lumenion Storage at the University for Applied Science in Berlin
    Lumenion's storage system stores surplus energy in heat and releases it back when needed as heat and electricity. Lumenion wants to reduce emissions such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen monoxide in our atmosphere by turning renewable electricity into storable heat.
